The circle of silence:
In recent years great strides have been made in reaching Latin America with the gospel.  However there are still some resistant areas where there are very few believers.  One such area is in central and western Mexico.  Some have called it the circle of
silence.  Silence because so few in this area are offering up true praise and worship to God.  In this part of Mexico there are 6 states where less than 2% of the population professes to be evangelical believers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

In 2002 Biblical Ministries Worldwide began a church planting ministry in the city of Guadalajara.  Guadalajara is the largest metropolitan area in the circle of silence and the second largest city in Mexico.  Our vision is to plant churches in this city of over 5 million and to reach out to the entire state and eventually reach the neighboring states as well.

In the past 4 years extensive personal evangelism has been carried out by the missionaries there.  As a result there are now four small groups of believers meeting regularly in homes that have formed the "Iglesia Bíblica Vida Nueva" church.
 The darker area are the states that are the least evangelized in all of Mexico.  In August of 2007 another church planting team will be moving into the "circle of silence" to begin planting a church in Zacatecas.

Much more needs to be done and that requires others that are willing to enter the circle of silence and help us proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.
