September, 2007
Dear praying friend,
Thank you for praying, we have much to be thankful for.
Baptisms:
On Father’s day June 17 we baptized 15. There were 5 adults and 10 children in the group.  The parents were thrilled to see their children publicly proclaim their faith in Christ.
Anniversary:
In July we celebrated the third anniversary of the "Iglesia Bíblica Vida Nueva" (New Life Bible Church). The past year has had its struggles, ups and downs and everything else that happens to new believers and a new church. However we are really thankful that God has blessed us with another year as a congregation.
Day camp:

July 23-27 we had a day camp for children  We limited the group to 40 and we had a great time. An added blessing was having a youth group from the First Baptist Church of Carson City, Michigan help us with the camp program. The group used puppets and were in charge of the handcraft and game times.

New missionaries:

A real note for rejoicing is how God is working to expand our church planting team here in Guadalajara. Corrie and Bethamy Anderson have been appointed to our field by Biblical Ministries Worldwide.  As soon as they raise their prayer and financial support they will be able to come and  help us. Be praying for them. They will be coming to our field conference in November.  We urgently need them to help us with the youth and Christian education as well as evangelism and discipleship.

Family:
We really enjoyed having two of our Colorado gandchildren Julie and James visit us for two months this Summer. We put them both to work and we appreciate the opportunity to spend time with them. Julie is a student at Calvary Bible College in Kansas City and James is in High School in Colorado.

Good health:
Angie recently had surgery on her right knee. She is recuperating and doing well. We are thankful for the health and the energy God has given us to continue the ministry here.

We have much to be thankful for but we also face some difficult challenges ahead for which we need your prayers.

Saturday evening cell group:
We have three faithful families in this group. There are others that attend but most of them are ladies with unsaved husbands. Pray for their salvation.

Sunday morning cell group:
We had to combine the two Sunday morning cell groups because of work schedules of the leaders. This means we average 30 in the group which is really too large for a cell group, 15-20 is ideal. Be praying that soon we will have men that can lead the second Sunday morning group.

Sunday evening cell group:
This is our smallest group with three families and we rarely have visitors. Be praying that the believers can reach others and for the growth of this group.

Pray for leaders and more men:
Be praying for Carlos, David and Gerardo. We continue to see good growth in them and they are a big help. The main problem is that their jobs take so much of their time that we can’t spend much time with them to help them in their development as believers and also to train them for leadership. We greatly need more faithful men.

Pray for outreach:
Pray for the believers that they will be able to reach their families and others with the gospel. Pray that as they share God’s Word that their contacts would have open minds and hearts to believe. Dick recently started going door to door offering Bible studies. So far the response has been small, we need prayer!

The need for more missionaries:
Continue to pray for Marco and Jenni Gudiño. They are in the U.S. and hope to attend Biblical Ministries Worldwide candidate school in January. Continue to pray that the Lord of the Harvest would send other workers as well.

Thanks for praying,
Dick and Angie Ludy
